Experience the Power

United Way of New York City’s Power of Women to Make a Difference Award Luncheon has been home to one of the most dynamic and engaging female audiences in New York City for over a decade. Bringing together some of our City’s most-influential people, the Luncheon celebrates the power that women have to change not only New York City, but communities around the world.

United Way of New York City’s (UWNYC) Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) is a network of accomplished, philanthropically-minded women who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of struggling New Yorkers. Women who join the WLC collaborate with an exclusive organization of female thought-leaders here in NYC and across the globe with more than 70,000 WLC members worldwide, access impactful events focused on education, health, and financial stability, and showcase expertise through skills-based volunteer opportunities. Picture yourself with the opportunity both professionally and personally to become a leader through fundraising, advocating and volunteering. You can be a part of the association that to date has raised over $5 million for youth empowerment in NYC.

Each year, the Luncheon serves as a premier opportunity to engage with some of New York City’s leaders from across sectors—from finance to government to healthcare—and WLC members. The ambiance of the beautiful Cipriani 42nd Street—where the luncheon is held— with its towering marble columns, soaring ceilings, and marvelous chandeliers—adds to the dynamic energy that fills the room. Enriching the experience even more, is that all proceeds from the event benefit United Way of New York City’s ReadNYC program—helping to get children reading on grade-level by third grade, a critical milestone in their future success.

We invite you, your colleagues, and your friends to join us as we celebrate the 11th year of this signature, must-attend NYC event.
